Public enthusiasm for the imminent operation of the Jakarta Bandung Fast Train (KCJB) is increasing. One of them was seen during a session presented by the Director of Engineering and Production of PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk (WIKA Beton) Verly Widiantoro at the 2023 RailwayTech Indonesia Seminar at JIExpo Kemayoran on Thursday (24/8).
The theme of the material raised in the seminar held by the Indonesian Railway Society and GEM Indonesia was "WIKA Beton`s Contribution to the High Speed Train Project".
For your information, the KCJB project route is 142.3 KM long, passing through 2 (two) provinces, with 4 (four) stations being built. WIKA Beton contributed quite a lot to this KCJB project. Among these is work on the production of precast concrete products such as slabtrack, sleeper, PC Pile, girder, PC Pole, Retaining Wall, Hollow Core Slab, and others. WIKA Beton also fulfills the demand for fresh or readymix concrete for Bored Pile, Pier and Pile Cap work. This readymix is produced at 4 (four) batching plant (BP) locations, namely BP Halim, BP Karawang, BP Walini, and BP Baros.
For the slab track work, WIKA Beton succeeded in completing production 2 (two) weeks faster than the target set at the end of May 2022. Of the total project requirements of 30,177 Slab Tracks, WIKA Beton received a 49% portion of the work or 14,786 continued work from Sinohydro as much as 51%.
Apart from providing seminars, WIKA Beton also participated in setting up booths during the RailwayTech Indonesia 2023 series of events.
