PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk (WIKA Beton) demonstrated its commitment to environmental sustainability by beautifying East Cakung Park in Jakarta with porous concrete in the park's pedestrian areas. This initiative is part of a series of events celebrating WIKA Beton's 27th anniversary throughout March 2024.

For this activity, WIKA Beton deployed a mixer truck loaded with 6 m³ of porous concrete to enhance the pathways in East Cakung Park. Furthermore, the concrete was mixed with colored pigments to improve the park's aesthetics.

Porous concrete is a special, environmentally friendly type of concrete with high porosity levels. Its use offers several benefits, such as absorbing rainwater into the ground, reducing the risk of surface runoff, and improving the groundwater quality around the area.

On this special occasion, besides East Cakung Park, WIKA Beton also carried out beautification efforts in front of the Banjarbendo Village Hall, Sidoarjo, East Java. These activities support several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically number 6 on Clean Water and Sanitation, and number 11 on Sustainable Cities and Communities.the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) nomor 6 tentang Air Bersih dan Sanitasi, serta nomor 11 tentang Kota dan Komunitas Berkelanjutan.

Through these social and environmental responsibility activities, WIKA Beton demonstrates its commitment to applying environmentally friendly principles that provide solutions for the community. Balancing business practices with support for sustainable development remains a focus for WIKA Beton as a company engaged in the domestic manufacturing and construction industry.
