PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk (WIKA Beton) again won an award in the environmental and social fields from the 2023 Environmental and Social Innovation Awards (ENSIA) event organized by PT Sucofindo in Semarang on Thursday (10/8). At this event, WIKA Beton through the Subang Karawang Concrete Product Factory (PPB) was awarded "Gold" in the category of Water Efficiency Innovation and Water Pollution Reduction. The appreciation was handed over directly by the Deputy Minister of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia, Alue Dohong, who also attended the ENSIA 2023 event.
This award was given as a form of appreciation for efforts to efficiently use water in factory operations, starting from reducing water in the production process and efficiency in using water by recycling the remaining water from production. In addition, this award also assesses the success of fulfilling superior product quality requirements.
ENSIA 2023 itself is an appreciation event for business actors who have environmental innovations and social innovations that have an impact on environmental preservation and community empowerment. This award event was attended by 106 business actors with a total of 473 paper registrations on aspects of environmental and social innovation. With the spirit of sustainability, WIKA Beton hopes to continue to grow, develop and provide value to all stakeholders and future generations.
