WIKA Beton formed the Internal Audit Unit (SPI) by observing and referring to Chapter VI of Law No. 19 of 2003 concerning State-Owned Enterprises, Government regulation No 12 of 1998 concerning Company Companies (Persero), Decree of the Minister of BUMN No. KEP-117 / M-MBU / 2002 concerning Application of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) Practices to State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), and Decree of Directors of PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk. Number SK.01.01 / WB-0A.027 / 2006 dated March 27, 2006 concerning the Organizational Structure of the Internal Oversight Unit and the Decree of the Board of Directors of PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk., Concerning the establishment of Internal Audit Unit Number SK.01.01 / WB-0A.024 / 2006 March 27, 2006.
SPI is led by a Head of Internal Audit Unit with a level with the Division Manager and is responsible directly to the President Director. The Head is appointed and dismissed by the President Director after obtaining approval from the Board of Commissioners. In order to support the running of the Company's supervisory function, SPI is assisted by the Chief Examiner. The Chief Examiner is a structural position that is appointed and dismissed by the Board of Directors and is directly responsible to the Head of ICU. The Chief Examiner is a position of expertise that is appointed and dismissed by the Board of Directors and / or an authorized official. In carrying out audit tasks, the Examiner is responsible to the Examining Head as Team Leader.
The SPI represents an independent activity, objectivity and consultation designed to provide added value and improve WIKA Beton operations. The implementation of the supervision and audit process must be able to help WIKA Beton achieves its objectives by implementing a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the risk management process, adequacy of controls and good management of the company.
