Sebagai salah satu industri beton pracetak terbesar di Asia Tenggara, PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk (WIKA Beton) berkomitmen untuk selalu menyediakan produk yang terjamin kualitasnya. Selain sebagai pusat riset material dan struktur, pengembangan Laboratorium Riset WIKA Beton ini ditujukan untuk mendukung pengujian material dan juga kinerja produk atau komponen struktur pada berbagai proyek yang dilayani WIKA Beton.
Untuk memastikan hasil uji diakui, laboratorium pengujian perlu memiliki akreditasi dari Komite Akreditasi Nasional (KAN) sesuai standar SNI ISO/IEC 17025:2017 yang mengatur persyaratan kompetensi laboratorium pengujian dan kalibrasi. Pada awal 2022, WIKA Beton membentuk tim akreditasi Laboratorium Riset untuk mempersiapkan akreditasi ke KAN, termasuk pelatihan dan penyusunan dokumen.
Pada 24-25 Januari 2023, dilakukan proses asesmen awal dan unjuk kerja lapangan di Laboratorium Riset WIKA Beton, yang melibatkan 3 asesor dari KAN, termasuk 2 asesor teknis dan 1 asesor mutu. Untuk memenuhi standar SNI ISO/IEC 17025:2017, Laboratorium harus memenuhi persyaratan umum, struktural, sumber daya, proses, dan manajemen.
Laporan asesmen ini diikuti oleh Rapat Panitia Teknis KAN pada 17 Mei 2023, yang merekomendasikan keputusan akreditasi ke Council KAN. Pada 24 Mei 2023, Laboratorium Riset WIKA Beton secara resmi menerima akreditasi KAN dengan nomor LPK LP-1803-IDN.
Keputusan ini secara resmi membuat Laboratorium Riset WIKA Beton dapat menggunakan logo KAN sesuai lingkup pengujian yang didaftarkan. Saat ini, ruang lingkup pengujian yang terakreditasi mencakup kuat tekan beton, tarik baja tulangan beton, analisa gradasi agregat, kadar lumpur, abrasi agregat kasar, serta pengujian lentur produk spun pile dan sheet pile.
WIKA Beton berharap Laboratorium Riset dapat terus berkembang agar hasil pengujian yang dibutuhkan oleh unit WIKA Beton dapat diakui sah secara hukum dan legal. Dengan begitu, WIKA Beton dapat terus menjaga kualitas produk-produk yang dihasilkan serta dapat mengembangkan produk-produk baru yang diminati pasar.
WIKA Beton Research Laboratory Achieves KAN Accreditation, Gaining International Recognition
As one of Southeast Asia’s largest precast concrete manufacturers, PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk (WIKA Beton) remains committed to delivering high-quality products. The development of the WIKA Beton Research Laboratory not only serves as a center for material and structural research but also supports material testing and product performance assessments for various projects undertaken by the company.
To ensure its testing results are widely recognized, a testing laboratory must obtain accreditation from the National Accreditation Committee (KAN), adhering to the SNI ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard, which specifies the competency requirements for testing and calibration laboratories. In early 2022, WIKA Beton formed an accreditation team for its Research Laboratory to prepare for KAN certification, including conducting training sessions and preparing necessary documentation.
The initial assessment and field demonstration took place on January 24–25, 2023, involving three KAN assessors—two technical assessors and one quality assessor. To meet the requirements of SNI ISO/IEC 17025:2017, the laboratory had to satisfy criteria in general requirements, structural adequacy, resource allocation, process integrity, and management practices.
Following the assessment, a Technical Committee Meeting at KAN was held on May 17, 2023, which recommended accreditation to the KAN Council. On May 24, 2023, the WIKA Beton Research Laboratory officially received KAN accreditation, registered under number LPK LP-1803-IDN.
This accreditation allows the WIKA Beton Research Laboratory to use the KAN logo within its registered testing scope, which currently includes:
Concrete compressive strength testing
Tensile testing of reinforcing steel
Aggregate gradation analysis
Silt content testing
Coarse aggregate abrasion testing
Flexural testing of spun pile and sheet pile products
WIKA Beton envisions the continued growth of its Research Laboratory to ensure that testing results required by its units are legally and formally recognized. This development will help WIKA Beton maintain the quality of its products and support the creation of innovative new products tailored to market demand.
