PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk (WIKA Beton) reaffirms its commitment to actively contribute to environmental preservation and support community education through various Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSER) programs. One of these is the organization of activities called "WTON Environmental Conservation" and "WTON Cares for Santri." These activities were held on Saturday and Sunday (13-14/1) in the vicinity of the Concrete Product Plant (PPB) in Lampung and Lampung Selatan.
During this event, WIKA Beton released 25 turtle hatchlings and 100 Nemo fish, and planted 150 mangrove seedlings on Minang Rua Beach, Bakauheni, Lampung Selatan.
Moreover, WIKA Beton also visited Alu Salim Islamic Boarding School in Lampung, providing modern learning media and donating 100 copies of the holy Quran to the students. Additionally, WIKA Beton conducted greening activities at the boarding school by planting several moringa tree seedlings.
These various activities demonstrate WIKA Beton`s commitment to sustainability and ecosystem balance. Not only focusing on its business operations, but also caring about social and environmental issues, especially in the surrounding areas of its business operational units.
Caring for the Environment, WIKA Beton Releases Baby Sea Turtles and Plants Moringa Trees in Lampung
PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk (WIKA Beton) reaffirmed its commitment to environmental conservation and community education through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, “WTON Memelihara Lingkungan” and “WTON Peduli Santri”, held on Saturday and Sunday (January 13–14) around the Lampung and South Lampung Precast Concrete Plant (PPB).
As part of these initiatives, WIKA Beton released 25 baby sea turtles (tukik) and 100 clownfish into the waters of Minang Rua Beach, Bakauheni, South Lampung. The company also planted 150 mangrove saplings, contributing to coastal ecosystem restoration and protection.
In addition, WIKA Beton visited the Alu Salim Islamic Boarding School in Lampung, where it donated modern learning tools and 100 copies of the Quran to the students. The company also greened the pesantren’s surroundings by planting Moringa saplings, known for their nutritional and ecological benefits.
