PT. Wijaya Karya Beton, Tbk turut berkontribusi kembali membangun negeri pada Proyek Strategis Nasional (PSN). Eksistensi kali ini, WIKA Beton ditantang untuk berkontribusi dalam Proyek Kereta Cepat berupa produk Bantalan Jalan Rel (Sleeper) pertama di Indonesia. WIKA Beton menjawab kepercayaan dari PT. Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) untuk memproduksi produk Sleeper yang mengikuti standarisasi dari kereta cepat (HSR).
Pada proyek kali ini, Sleeper yang dibutuhkan adalah Sleeper yang memiliki standar Mutu yang mengikuti China’s Code. Dimana standarisasi yang digunakan proyek adalah standarisasi produk pracetak pertama di Indonesia. Sehingga untuk memenuhi standarisasi ini, WIKA Beton mencari referensi hingga ke Negara China. Standarisasi ini juga digunakan pada desain Jalur produksi Sleeper HSR.
Untuk memenuhi standarisasi ini, WIKA Beton mendesain Jalur produksi khusus Sleeper HSR yang disesuaikan dengan Jalur Produksi yang ada di jalur 3 Pabrik Produk Beton (PPB) Majalengka. Sehingga kapasitas jalur produksi naik hingga 75.000 Ton per tahun. Sistem Produksi yang diterapkan di jalur ini adalah Sleeper Carousel Plant System dimana proses produksi dimulai dari pembersihan cetakan sampai dengan proses pemotongan produk dilakukan secara otomatis oleh mesin.
Dalam mendesain ulang jalur produksi, WIKA Beton melakukan Installation dan Commitioning sendiri tanpa kehadiran supervisi dari China. Hal ini karena proses pembangunan / desain ulang jalur produksi berlangsung terkendala oleh wabah virus corona (COVID-19) yang melanda seluruh dunia. Sehingga proses komunikasi yang berlangsung hanya melalui email dan handphone.
Tepatnya pada Bulan Februari 2020, pembangunan / desain ulang jalur produksi dapat diselesaikan dengan sangat baik walaupun dalam situasi pandemi Virus Corona (COVID-19).
Pada Maret 2020, WIKA Beton sudah melakukan uji coba produksi untuk semua tipe Sleeper HSR (IIIc, IIIqc, IIIa, New II, dll). Uji coba produksi ini dilakukan sebagai salah satu syarat yang harus dipenuhi WTON dalam proses Asesmen dari PT. Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC), High Speed Railway Contractor Consortium (HSRCC) dan Cars Dardela Joint Operation (CDJO) sebagai pengawas konstruksi Proyek Kereta Cepat Jakarta-Bandung.
Walaupun dengan kondisi pandemi saat ini, WIKA Beton tetap mampu melebarkan sayap dan selalu siap berkontribusi dalam proyek-proyek yang pemerintah berikan.

WIKA Beton Contributes to the Nation by Producing Indonesia’s First High-Speed Rail Sleepers
PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk (WIKA Beton) continues its commitment to supporting national development through its participation in the National Strategic Projects (PSN). This time, WIKA Beton is contributing to the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Rail Project by producing rail sleepers, marking Indonesia’s first high-speed rail (HSR) sleeper production. Entrusted by PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC), WIKA Beton is manufacturing sleepers that comply with stringent HSR standards.
The project demands sleepers manufactured in accordance with China’s Code standards, a first for precast product standardization in Indonesia. To meet these requirements, WIKA Beton conducted thorough research and benchmarking in China. This standardization was also applied in designing the HSR Sleeper Production Line.
WIKA Beton designed a specialized production line for HSR sleepers, integrated into Production Line 3 at the Majalengka Precast Concrete Plant (PPB Majalengka). This upgraded line boosts production capacity to 75,000 tons per year. The Sleeper Carousel Plant System is employed, where processes such as mold cleaning and product cutting are fully automated.
Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, WIKA Beton successfully handled the installation and commissioning of the production line independently, without on-site supervision from Chinese counterparts. Communication was conducted solely through email and phone.
By February 2020, the redesign and construction of the production line were completed efficiently, even amidst the global pandemic.
In March 2020, WIKA Beton began production trials for all HSR sleeper types (IIIc, IIIqc, IIIa, New II, etc.). These trials were a prerequisite for assessments conducted by PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC), the High-Speed Railway Contractor Consortium (HSRCC), and the Cars Dardela Joint Operation (CDJO), overseeing the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Rail Project.
Despite the pandemic, WIKA Beton remains steadfast in contributing to government projects and expanding its capabilities.
