PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk (WTON) has again distributed aid to people victims of the earthquake natural disaster in Cianjur, West Java. WTON`s disaster response team is currently still moving to distribute a number of aid that residents continue to need such as groceries, medicines, baby needs, blankets, underwear, clean water, and other aid.
The aid distributed reached a total of 318 million rupiah which was collected not only from the Company`s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) funds but also from the initiatives of WTON employees. The aid was handed over by WTON to 10 (ten) posts spread across 5 (five) villages in Cianjur, namely Limbangan Sari Village, Sindanglaya Village, Ciherang Village, Gasol Village, and Sala Euri Village. The village was chosen as the destination of WTON`s disaster response team, one of which was because it was the location of several families of employees who were victims of the disaster.
Previously, WTON also directly sent heavy equipment 1 (one) dump truck unit to the affected area to help clean up the ruins of buildings and landslides caused by the earthquake on November 21, 2022, through the synergy program of WIKA Group and BUMN.
The distribution of basic needs is a form of the Company`s concern for victims who have been hit by disasters. It is hoped that the aid handed over can be useful so that it can ease the burden on residents.
