PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk (WIKA Beton) has been awarded the Gold level, 4 Pillars of Environment, at the TJSL & CSR Award 2023 event organized by BUMN Track. The award was personally received by WIKA Beton`s Director of Technical and Production, Verly Widiantoro, on Thursday evening (10/08) in Jakarta.
This event represents the highest form of appreciation for State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) and their subsidiaries that have implemented the TJSL & CSR program, which is guided by Ministerial Regulation PER-1/MBU/01/2023 concerning Special Assignments and TJSL (Social and Environmental Responsibility) Programs for BUMNsthe Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
WIKA Beton, as an active player in the domestic concrete industry, also pays attention to the concept of green construction in realizing a sustainable business.
“"Green construction, in general, is not only about green programs, but also encompasses the entire integrated production process at WIKA Beton with an environmental perspective," Verly stated. According to him, the production process conducted has a positive impact on the environment or at least minimizes environmental damage.
This is in line with the company`s mission to `Implement effective management systems and technologies to enhance efficiency, quality consistency, safety, and environmentally conscious occupational health.`
The TJSL & CSR Award 2023 was participated in by 88 companies, including State-Owned Enterprises, their subsidiaries, as well as publicly listed State-Owned Enterprises. Moving forward, WIKA Beton will consistently implement green business practices to achieve a better world.
