PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk (WIKA Beton) officially handed over badminton court sports facility made of porous concrete to SD Negeri Cipinang Cempedak 09 Pagi Jakarta on Tuesday (21/3) as one of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of the company. The procession was represented by WIKA Beton Director of Engineering and Production of WIKA Beton Sidiq Purnomo and WIKA Beton Corporate Secretary Dedi Indra, who were warmly welcomed by the Principal of SDN Cipinang Cempedak 09 Pagi Jakarta, Mrs. Bibit.
In her remarks, Mrs. Bibit really appreciated the presence of the field, because the existing field was easily flooded when it rained. The use of porous concrete as a sports field material has many benefits, including accelerating water absorption thereby reducing waterlogging, improving groundwater quality, maintaining ecosystem balance, minimizing the need for irrigation, improving aesthetics, and reducing surface temperatures in areas that have a lot of concrete.
Not only that, on this occasion WIKA Beton also handed over a number of fruit trees to be planted in the school environment. This is part of the Company`s commitment to support the Sustainable Development Goals.
It is hoped that this program will benefit all students and the surrounding community.
