To win the current market competition, innovation and improvement are absolute things for the company. PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk (WIKA Beton) is no exception, which always tries to improve the Company`s performance so that it is always relevant and survives in the market. One of them is the implementation of ISO 27001 for an internationally recognized corporate information system security standard.
WIKA Beton then held ISO 27001 Awareness and Training for the entire WIKA Beton management team on Wednesday (8/3) in hybrid. This event was hosted directly by Mr. Ernawan from WIKA who has obtained the company`s IT Maturity auditor certification.
Director of Marketing & Development Rija Judaswara in his remarks explained the importance of implementing ISO 27001. Besides the needs within the WIKA Group, there are a number of essential aspects that encourage the acceleration of ISO 27001 certification at WIKA Beton. Among others are:
- More secure information management,
- Identification of risk and more optimal governance,
- The company`s IT Maturity increases which affects the company`s KPI,
- WIKA Beton can also be trusted by foreign customers who make ISO 27001 a requirement.
"Implementation of ISO 27001 is not easy, but that doesn`t mean it`s impossible," said Rija. "To all the managers who attended today, please convey to their fellow employees about the results of today`s Awareness and Training, so that the implementation of ISO 27001 at WIKA Beton can run smoothly," he explained.
This agenda is one of a series of activities carried out by WIKA Beton in preparation for the ISO 27001 certification process which is planned to be carried out in May 2023.
