Dalam rangka memperkuat komitmennya pada keberlanjutan lingkungan, PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk (WIKA Beton) membangun fasilitas resapan air melalui program Tanggung Jawab Sosial dan Lingkungan (TJSL) bertajuk “Air Untuk Masa Depan” dengan cara memasang beton porous seluas 597,8 m² di SMPN 4 Gunung Putri, Bogor, sejak Rabu, 18 Februari 2026.
Pemasangan beton porous di area halaman sekolah ini menjawab persoalan klasik genangan air yang sering mengganggu aktivitas belajar-mengajar saat intensitas hujan tinggi. Berbeda dengan beton konvensional, beton porous memiliki struktur berpori yang mampu meresap air hujan langsung ke dalam tanah. Inovasi tersebut tidak hanya mengembalikan fungsi produktif lapangan sekolah, tetapi juga berperan krusial sebagai filter alami dalam menjaga kualitas cadangan air tanah di lingkungan sekitar.
Data pada World Resources Institute menunjukkan wilayah Bogor dalam kategori High Baseline Water Stress dengan tingkat risiko mencapai 40–80%. Penggunaan green product WIKA Beton seperti beton porous di wilayah dengan tingkat water stress tinggi ini merupakan upaya konservasi air sebagai bagian dari implementasi aspek ‘Environment’ pada prinsip ESG.
Langkah tersebut selaras dengan target SDGs poin 6 terkait air bersih dan sanitasi layak, poin 9 mengenai industri, inovasi, dan infrastruktur, poin 11 terkait kota dan permukiman berkelanjutan, serta poin 12 terkait konsumsi dan produksi yang bertanggung jawab.
Sekretaris Perusahaan WIKA Beton, Ignatius Harry, menegaskan bahwa kualitas pendidikan sangat dipengaruhi oleh kelayakan ekosistemnya.
“Kami memandang bahwa produk inovasi kami tidak hanya berlandaskan 3P bottom line baseline, yaitu profit, people, dan planet sehingga pertumbuhan perusahaan tidak hanya berorientasi pada kinerja keuangan, tetapi juga dari keberlanjutan sumber daya manusia serta tanggung jawab sosial dan lingkungan.”

WIKA Beton Installs Porous Concrete at SMPN 4 Gunung Putri
To strengthen its commitment to environmental sustainability, PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk (WIKA Beton) has constructed a water infiltration facility through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program titled “Water for the Future.” This was accomplished by installing 597,8 m² of porous concrete at SMPN 4 Gunung Putri, Bogor, starting on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
The installation of porous concrete in the school yard addresses the classic issue of water puddles that frequently disrupt teaching and learning activities during periods of high rainfall intensity. Unlike conventional concrete, porous concrete features a porous structure capable of absorbing rainwater directly into the ground. This innovation not only restores the productive function of the school yard but also plays a crucial role as a natural filter to maintain the quality of groundwater reserves in the surrounding environment.
Data from the World Resources Institute indicates that the Bogor region falls under the High Baseline Water Stress category, with risk levels reaching 40–80%. The utilization of WIKA Beton’s green products, such as porous concrete, in an area with high water stress is a dedicated water conservation effort as part of implementing the ‘Environment’ aspect of ESG principles.
This initiative aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) including Goal 6 regarding clean water and proper sanitation, Goal 9 concerning industry, innovation, and infrastructure, Goal 11 related to sustainable cities and communities, and Goal 12 regarding responsible consumption and production.
Corporate Secretary of WIKA Beton, Ignatius Harry, emphasized that the quality of education is heavily influenced by the feasibility of its ecosystem.
