PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk (WIKA Beton) succeeded in obtaining ISO 27001 certification after passing an audit which was held on 12-14 July 2023. The agenda was led by Mr. Amril Nugraha Adhi and Mr. Jeffri Girsang as auditors from PT TUV Nord Indonesia. Unlike the ISOs related to K3, environment, management systems, construction security which have been implemented for years at WIKA Beton (WTON), this is the first time for WTON to carry out ISO 27001 certification regarding information security.
ISO 27001 or ISMS (Information Security Management System) is a special, structured standard on information security that is recognized internationally. Information security is a process of protecting information to ensure the following:
⁃ Confidential: ensuring that information can only be accessed by authorized parties.
⁃ Integrity: ensuring that information is kept accurate and complete, and that information is not modified without clear authorization.
⁃ Availability: ensuring that information can be accessed by authorized parties when needed.
After obtaining ISO 27001, WIKA Beton will then carry out an IT maturity. Why the company`s IT Maturity important? The purpose of the IT Maturity Assessment is
⁃ Compliance with BUMN Ministerial Regulation related to IT Governance;
⁃ The company`s internal need to increase maturity ➜ give a better impact to the organization
⁃ Knowing the achievement of the current maturity level;
⁃ Know the improvements and improvements that must be made in accordance with PER-02/MBU/2013 and PER-03/MBU/02/2018 and based on COBIT 4.1 best practice
Hopefully with the implementation of ISO 27001, WIKA Beton can become a company that is able to compete even more in the future.
