PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk. (WIKA Beton) remained on the Top 50 Mid Cap Indonesia Public Companies that has successfully maintained the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) principles and earned award at the annual night appreciation the 10th IICD Corporate Governance Conference and Award in Jakarta (10/12).
The award ceremony opened by the Chairman of IICD Sigit Pramono and attended by the Indonesian Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani was organized by the Indonesian Institute for Corporate Directorship (IICD) with the theme Bringing about CG Changes: Opportunities and Challenges for Directors In this event, WIKA Beton earned an award received directly by Corporate Secretary of WIKA Beton Yuherni. This award is the third award that WIKA Beton won in a row since 2016 and this year WIKA Beton is in the position of the top 20 public companies with the best GCG implementation. This is one proof of the seriousness of WIKA Beton to maintain the implementation of Good Corporate Governance in its business environment.
IICD assessed 200 public companies with the largest market capitalization listed on the IDX. The public companies were divided into 2 groups, namely 100 public companies with the largest capitalization markets (big cap) and 100 public companies with mid capitalization markets (mid cap). The assessment itself was conducted by 10 assessors and 4 reviewers.
The instrument that was used to assess 200 public companies is the CG Scorecard from the OECD Principle including: shareholders rights, equal treatment of shareholders, the role of stakeholders, disclosure and transparency as well as board responsibilities. In addition, the assessment was also measured based on public information, particularly in the annual report and company website. By earning this award, WIKA Beton expects to be more motivated to apply better implementation of corporate governance and to continue prioritizing its best services to all stakeholders.
