A Brief Explanation on How to Make Good and High-quality Concrete Products

Sturdy, strong, and durable are special properties that only concrete has. As one component of construction material, these characteristics are clearly a distinct advantage. Well behind the nature of the concrete, have you ever wondered on how to make it? How can this concrete be the forerunner of a magnificent building such as buildings, bridges, and even help secure the railroad in Indonesia?

First Step: Mixing Materials
The main ingredients are cement, water and aggregate. This aggregate is still divided into two, namely coarse and fine aggregates. This coarse aggregate is usually gravel while fine aggregate is concrete sand. The ingredients are then mixed until completely flat covers the entire cavity.

After It’s Evenly Mixed, Concrete Dough is Ready to be Moved
Because it is made of a mixture of cement, water and aggregate, the concrete mixture must be immediately transferred into the mold before it hardens and cannot be printed as needed. The method of pouring also varies depending on the printing tool used. There are those who poured normally there are also those who use pumps.

Solidify the Concrete Dough Again so That the Cavity Inside is Perfectly Closed
The process of compacting the concrete mixture in the mold also varies, depending on the mold used. Why does the concrete dough that has been poured into the mold need to be compacted? The goal is to make the concrete dough really solid and avoid the formation of air cavities that can make the quality of the concrete decrease later.

The Surface of the Concrete Dough Needs to be Flattened
The concrete dough that has entered the mold needs to be leveled. The reason is, with a flat surface, the drying process becomes more even and does not require a long time. Some even say that this drying process will run 75% faster if the surface is completely flat. Regarding the tools used for leveling it is clearly different depending on the concrete mold of each.
